Authentication (up to 50 pts)
SPF adds 15 pts, DKIM adds 20 pts, DMARC adds 15 pts. Without all three, major inbox providers treat your domain as untrusted. DKIM carries the most weight because it provides cryptographic message integrity.
Domain age (up to 40 pts)
New domains earn 4 pts. At 3 months you get 12 pts, at 6 months 22 pts, at 12 months 32 pts, at 24+ months 40 pts. Domain aging is a trust signal with no shortcut. Source: Scouq Mail production quality_scores, ClickHouse alien db.
Volume vs warmup ramp
Sending above your domain's safe daily limit triggers penalties of -8 to -25 pts. Safe limits: 30/day at 0-3 months, 60/day at 3-6 months, 150/day at 6-12 months, 300/day at 12-24 months, 500/day at 24+ months. Source: Klean+ / Folderly warmup guidance and Scouq production logs.
List quality signals
Bounce rate over 1% starts reducing your score (-3 to -30 pts). Unsubscribe rate over 0.5% does the same (-3 to -15 pts). These thresholds match Google Postmaster Tools documentation, SendGrid / Mailgun benchmarks, and FTC / CAN-SPAM guidelines.
