Terms of use

These terms cover the use of scouq.com before launch, including the free books check. The service agreement for Scouq's bookkeeping service will be a separate document, provided to founding clients before any engagement begins.

The books check

The books check is a free self-assessment. Its output is an indication based on the answers you provide — not an audit, not a professional opinion, and not advice. It cannot see your books and makes no claims about them. Dollar figures shown with findings are typical ranges observed in general small-business bookkeeping patterns, not measurements of your business.

No professional relationship

Using this site, taking the check, or joining the founding list does not create a client relationship, an engagement, or any duty of care. A client relationship begins only when both parties sign a written service agreement.

The founding list

Joining the founding list reserves your place in the order joined. It is not a contract, requires no payment, and either side can step away before an engagement is signed.

Acceptable use

Do not misrepresent who you are, probe or disrupt the site, or use it to send spam. We may decline or remove access for abuse.

Liability

The site and the check are provided as-is. To the maximum extent the law allows, Scouq is not liable for decisions made in reliance on the free check's output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
